Course Overview

Welcome to the Phlebotomy Instructor Course at Florida Training Academy, taught by Eunice Mathis, MSN-Ed, RN. This 2-day, Florida Board of Nursing–approved course awards 8 hours of CEUs and is designed exclusively for licensed nurses who want to gain the skills to teach phlebotomy effectively.

Who Can Attend

This course is open to Nurses with current phlebotomy experience, an active nursing license, and a current BLS/CPR card.

What You’ll Learn

During this workshop, you’ll develop the knowledge and skills needed to teach others how to draw blood safely and accurately. Topics include:

- Core phlebotomy techniques and safety standards

- How to structure and lead a phlebotomy class

- Understanding different learning styles and adapting your teaching

- Classroom and lab management strategies

- Essential phlebotomy equipment and setup for teaching
